Ever feel so hangry at school or work that you find yourself overindulging on an expensive, plastic wrapped
pastry from the cafeteria? Yeah, me too.
Luckily, there are healthier, more economical and sustainable alternatives! Here is one to remember.
You’ve bought bananas, and simply forgot about until they’ve turned this unappealing
brown colour…GREAT, let’s make oatmeal banana cookies.
What do I need?
2 bananas (ripe)
Around 1 cup of rolled oats
1 table spoon raw cacao
1 tablespoon of raisins (or dried cranberries)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
A (small) pinch of salt
Step 1. Mash the bananas with a fork
Step 2. Mix the other ingredients
Step 3. Make little palm sized cookies onto a parchment paper lined baking tray (oiled with
coconut oil)
Step 4. Bake for 10 min in a 200C degrees oven
Step 5. (Optional)After the cookies are ready and cooled down, spread a thin layer of nut
butter on top
Keep refrigerated in an airtight container and enjoy on the go! Added plus, the bananas that
you might have thrown out are used to their full potential. #NoFoodWaste
